Alongside my ongoing habit of writing remorselessly about Lewes Football Club, and upsetting everybody, plus whatever else happens to be annoying, fascinating, or irresistible at the time, I’ve also begun writing about music.
This isn’t an attempt to be cool, current, or comprehensive. It’s simply an excuse to put into words what I’ve spent most of my life thinking: about records, bands, and the strange ways certain songs lodge themselves permanently in your system.
The Clash are my favourite band of all time, and I’ll be writing about them regularly. Consider this the beginning of a long, slightly obsessive thread — equal parts admiration, argument, and joyful fixation.
