Cruise Control. A Satirical Cruise Diary.

Seven days aboard Cunard’s Queen Anne. Seven blogs involving 3,000 passengers, 1,500 crew, Norway, Denmark excessive quantities of food and alcohol, occasional rough seas and the gradual realisation that cruise ships are essentially enormous floating villages where nobody has to cook, clean or apparently exercise any restraint whatsoever.

I’ve now put the whole lot together here, with links to all seven daily blogs. It starts with us arriving in Southampton relatively normal and follows the week through to the point where we were very definitely ready to go home. There are things I loved, things I couldn’t understand, things that drove me nuts and quite a lot that made me laugh.

For anyone contemplating their first cruise, this probably won’t help you make the decision. But it will give you a reasonable idea of what actually happens once you get on one.
